The warm, sunny weather was perfect for the opening ceremonies and kickoff showcase game of the WFDF 2013 World Under 23 Championships in Toronto, Canada, on Sunday afternoon.  First nation dancers lead the 36 teams representing countries from around the world into the opening ceremonies.  The players’ enthusiasm was particularly well highlighted by the gymnastic talents displayed by the Japanese player who, instead of walking in, entered the ceremonies with backhand springs. Jason Robinson, Co-Tournament Director and GM of the Toronto Ultimate Club, was the Master of Ceremonies and after a blessing from an aboriginal elder, WFDF President Robert "Nob" Rauch greeted all the players and spectators.

The opening ceremony officially opened the tournament with a ceremonial flip and a performance from the All Nation Singers.
