The Election for new member of the WFDF Board of Directors (1 January 2011 – 31 December 20102 Term) will take
place November 27 through December 27, 2010.

WFDF is currently seeking individuals to serve on the Nominating Committee (short term assignment focused on a)
identifying appropriate candidates , b) reviewing candidate applications, c) overseeing the election process) and
Candidates for the following 2 year terms on the Board of Directors.

President
Guts Committee Chair
Overall Committee Chair
Beach Ultimate Committee Chair
At Large member

Individuals interested in submitting a Nomination for the Board of Directors are asked to submit the following
information to the WFDF Nominating Committee – WFDF(underscore)NomCom(at)yahoogroups(dot)com – by no
later than 17 November 2010.

-Name
-Mailing Address
-Email Address
-Nomination by a current WFDF Member in good standing
-Desired Position (President, At Large member, Overall Committee Chair, Guts Committee Chair, Beach Ultimate
-Committee chair)
-List of Potential Conflicts of Interest (Positions held with WFDF members, financial interests in flying disc sports
businesses and any other relationships that could potentially give rise to conflicts of interest while acting as a
Director)
-Candidate Statement: Include interests, priorities, and relevant experience (<= 600 words)
-Curriculum Vitae (CV) or Resume
-Digital Photo (approx. 200 x 300 pixels)

Candidates agree to:

-Display active enthusiasm and commitment.
-Serve a global community – all regions, all flying disc disciplines.
-Read and adhere to the Bylaws and other organizational documents and policies. Make decisions
on behalf of the WFDF mission.
-Have regular access to e-mail and the internet. Read e-mail at least once a week. Expected
weekly e-mail volume is approximately 1-3 hours and could vary depending on time of year. Email
& votes/polls response 1 week (7 days).
-Communicate WFDF business in fluent English.
-Keep board communication confidential. Obtain author approval to forward or publish.
-Inform the Executive Committee (ExCom) of planned absences including holidays/vacations as
soon as known.
-Be available for scheduled conference calls (about 4 per year), which could be at unusual times
due to Directors living in different time zones.
-Learn and follow WFDF policies. Work toward creation, update, and approval of policies for good
governance where needed.
-Be prepared to follow a Conflict of Interest (COI) policy, which may require reasonable
disclosures like financial dealings with other organizations
-Not to engage in criminal behavior (organizational/corporate). Traffic tickets, for example, would
not be a WFDF concern unless driving a WFDF vehicle, which we do not have.
-Properly identify and report relevant criminal behavior of any WFDF person or WFDF member.
-Resign if consistently unable or unwilling to meet minimum Board requirements. Lack of
participation is unfair to the members of Congress that have elected them. Board members
