The WFDF 2011 Asia Oceanic Championships have started. The 176 players from six countries were welcomed during the Opening Ceremony on the evening of 1 December and greeted by the “Sin Puppets”, great gods from the Taiwanese culture. During competition day 1 the strong teams from Japan, both seeded 1 in the Open and Mixed divisions, won all games and scored 17 goals.

For the first time in WFDF history a team from India attended an official Ultimate Championship and scored their first goal in their game versus Singapore. In total six countries participate in this third edition of Asia Oceanic Ultimate Championships (Australia, Hong Kong China, India, Japan, Singapore, Chinese Taipei).

GamesĀ are played in the National Stadium Kaohsiung, where the Ultimate event of the 2009 World Games was staged and attracted a crowd of more than 50.000 spectators on three competition days, and in the Chung Cheng Stadium and Feng Shan Stadium. Competitions will conclude on Sunday, 4 December 2011, with theĀ Finals in both divisions being played in the National Stadium.
