In Official Communication, Press Release * Official Communication by WFDF

The World Flying Disc Federation have approved additional bids to WUCC 2014 for the following countries:

Open Division – Poland, Switzerland, P.R. of China
Mixed Division – Latvia, Finland, Dominican Republic, New Zealand
Womens Division– Slovakia, Russian Federation, Mexico
Masters Open Division – Sweden, Russian Federation, Mexico
Masters Womens Division – France, Colombia

Round 2 Bids are used to bring division numbers to desirable levels. Total teams for WUCC now stand at 48 Open, 32 Womens, 48 Mixed, 24 Masters Open, 10 Masters Women. Currently bids have been given out to 162 teams representing 42 different Nations. Both will be a record for WUCC.

The allocation of the bids were aimed to smooth out some geographic inequities, offer bids to some countries who had not received bids in particular divisions, but also considered the strength of the team likely to attend.

Contact Information Request

With the final WUCC 2014 bids having been announced, WFDF now needs to collect the following information for specific teams who will be attending the event:

1.    Team Name
2.    Team Contact Person
3.    Team Contact Email

This information should be sent to the WFDF ([email protected]) by December 31, 2013.

Wait List

WFDF will shortly release the wait list for each division at WUCC 2014. Unlike the 2nd round of Bids, the Wait list will be heavily weighted towards National programs strength, while taking into account bids already allocated (taking into account the  strength of the “next” team to come from that country) and ability of the country to field a team on shorter notice.

The Wait List will be the list of countries that will be contacted to add a team to WUCC 2014 should a current team drop out of the event, of if a team fails to meet a payment deadline. The first payment deadline will be the Team Fee, which will be due in early 2014. Exact date & amount will be communicated to teams and National Federations shortly.
