WFDF to stage Development Coaching clinic in Sofia, Bulgaria, on 6-9 October
2022 assembling new member federations and countries

The World Flying Disc Federation’s (WFDF) Development Programme will host a coaching clinic in Sofia,
Bulgaria, from 6-9 October 2022. The event will assemble coaches, players, and sports administrators from Eastern and southern Europe, including the Balkan region, Baltic States, and Mediterranean area, in cooperation with the Bulgarian Flying Disc Federation (BFDF).

Representatives from developing countries are invited, including WFDF member and non-member countries including Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Egypt, Estonia, Georgia, Greece, Jordan, Kosovo, Latvia, Lebanon, Lithuania, Malta, Montenegro, Morocco, North Macedonia, Monaco, Republic of Moldova, Romania, San Marino, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, etc. (and particularly non-member countries of WFDF which are interested to develop a federation) as well as potential participants from Eastern and/or Southern Europe.

“WFDF is proud to sponsor and underwrite most of the costs of this coaching clinic and work together with our Bulgarian member federation. We consider the permanent development activities as key for the further growth of Flying Disc sport locally and globally and hope to be able to encourage new countries for our sport,” commented WFDF President Robert “Nob” Rauch.

Added Bulgarian Flying Disc Federation President Stoyan Zahov: “Flying Disc sports is an extremely accessible sport for young people and we as BFDF want to contribute to the development of our sport and have been proudly taking up the task to organize such coaching clinic in Sofia. The proximity of the countries targeted by WFDF makes travels to our capital easy and we hope to assemble truly a wide range of countries here. I am sure that we can provide perfect facilities for the clinic and are very much looking forward to it.”
