Ultimate at School Guidebook Launched in China

Chengdu, China – The World Flying Disc Federation (WFDF) through collaboration with the Chinese Flying Disc Administrative Committee, the National Federation of the People’s Republic of China, is happy to announce the launch of the Ultimate at Schools Guidebook in the country.

Coinciding with the finals of the Chinese Ultimate League, José Amoroso, Chair of the Youth and Sport Commission, delivered educational sessions to teachers and students in the cities of Chengdu (Chengdu University of Technology, Shuangli Sports Center) and Shanghai (YK Pao School), aimed at highlighting the Guidebook, and promoting Ultimate in primary and secondary schools.

Amoroso stated, “These were intense days where I witnessed the remarkable development of Ultimate and Flying Disc disciplines in China. The passionate engagement and interest in the educational sessions are encouraging for the impact of the Guidebook in schools and the next generation of Flying Disc sports players!”

The Guidebook, initially launched in English in 2020, aims at enhancing instructional resources for physical education teachers and was developed through a collaborative effort with the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria and local experts.

“We thank the Chinese Flying Disc Administrative Committee for their interest and collaboration in launching the Guidebook nationally,” said WFDF President, Robert “Nob” Rauch. “As we look forward to the Chengdu 2025 World Games next year, we look forward to seeing not only the high performance competition of Ultimate and Disc Golf but also the Guidebook’s impact and continued growth of the recreational participation.”

The Guidebook and other educational resources are available on the WFDF Sport Development webpage.
