WFDF Celebrates Excellence and Spirit at the 2024 World Masters Ultimate Championships

The WFDF 2024 World Masters Ultimate Championships (WMUC) brought the Ultimate community together for an unforgettable week of high-level competition, camaraderie, and celebration. From November 10 to 16, the fields of Great Park in Irvine, California, became the stage for 67 teams and over 2,000 participants, including athletes, spectators, and dedicated volunteers. Teams from 15 countries—Australia, Canada, Colombia, Germany, Great Britain, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Korea, Mexico, New Zealand, Panama, Portugal, USA, and Venezuela—showcased the skill, passion, and spirit that define this unique sport.

For seven days, the championships transformed Irvine into the epicenter of Ultimate excellence. Players competed fiercely across seven divisions: Master (female 30+, male 33+) in Open, Women’s, and Mixed; Grand Master (female 37+, male 40+) in Open, Women’s, and Mixed; and Great Grand Master (female 45+, male 48+) in Open and Mixed. Fans cheered passionately from the sidelines as matches unfolded, filled with breathtaking plays and unwavering displays of fair play. Beyond the competition, WMUC 2024 was a celebration of the community that makes Ultimate so much more than just a game.
