The World Flying Disc Federation (WFDF), in collaboration with the Lithuanian Flying Disc Federation (LFDF), is pleased to announce the Lithuanian translation of the “Ultimate at School Guidebook.” With the Guidebook now available in 5 languages, this new edition aims to broaden the guidebook’s reach and continue to impact more participants through the discipline of Ultimate.
Originally launched in English in 2020, the guidebook was developed with the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria and local experts to provide physical education teachers with a clear, comprehensive resource. Now available in Lithuanian both digitally and in print with the Lithuanian Federation making printed copies available to its stakeholders.
“Translating the Guidebook to Lithuania was important to introduce the sport to more students, teachers, and schools,” said Ričardas Zareckis, President of the Lithuanian Flying Disc Federation. “Thanks to the dedicated efforts of the community, Flying Disc Sports have seen a large growth in the country in recent years, with over 40 Junior aged teams and 300 young players. We believe this resource will help us reach even more schools and continue demonstrating the values, high-quality instruction, and fun activities that define Ultimate.”
In February, the Lithuanian Flying Disc Federation will further drive this initiative by hosting educational sessions in three Lithuanian cities, led by WFDF School, University, and Youth Commission Chair, José Amoroso. More than 100 teachers are expected to take part, learning how to incorporate the “Ultimate at School Guidebook” into their lesson plans and promote Flying Disc sports to students of all ages.
