WFDF Releases Spanish Edition of  “Ultimate at School Guidebook”

The World Flying Disc Federation (WFDF) is pleased to announce the publication of the Ultimate at School guidebook in Spanish. This release marks the sixth language edition, following Portuguese, English, Croatian, Chinese, and, most recently, Lithuanian.

This initiative aligns with WFDF’s Strategic Plan for 2023-2028, focusing on school and  youth development and global accessibility by providing educational resources that support the integration of Disc Sports into school sports programs. The Spanish edition expands the reach of the guidebook to one of the most widely spoken languages in the world, strengthening WFDF’s commitment to making disc sports more inclusive and accessible.

WFDF collaborated with the Federación Española de Disco Volador (FEDV) on this project, ensuring the content remains relevant, practical, and easy to implement in Spanish-speaking educational settings. “Having this guidebook in Spanish is a major step forward for Ultimate in our community,” said Eduardo González Lozano, member of the Statutory Committee of FEDV. “This resource will give educators the tools to confidently introduce the sport in schools, inspire students, and help grow the next generation of Ultimate players.”

“We welcome opportunities for further translations and encourage Federations worldwide to reach out. By working together, we can continue expanding the reach of disc sports, providing more children and young people with access through physical education programs” Said José Amoroso, Chair of the World Flying Disc Federation’s School, University and Youth Commission.

With nearly 500 million native Spanish speakers worldwide, this resource is expected to reach a broad and diverse audience, including students, physical education teachers, school administrators, coaches, national federations, community leaders, parents, and sports enthusiasts. By equipping educators and organizations with structured guidance, WFDF hopes to increase awareness, participation, and structured development of Ultimate in schools across Spanish-speaking regions.

WFDF extends its gratitude to its member national federations, whose continued efforts and collaboration make these projects possible.
