World Flying Disc Federation Becomes First Recipient of Diamond Level Sport for All Label

The World Flying Disc Federation (WFDF) has been awarded the INTERACT+ Diamond Sport for All Certification Level, a significant recognition that underscores its leadership in promoting inclusive and accessible sport. WFDF is the first international sports federation to ever have received this certification, which was awarded on the 28th of April. The Diamond Level is the highest possible, and this accomplishment.

This achievement builds on WFDF’s active participation in the INTERACT+ Conference for Sport for All in October 2024 and the delivery of a capacity-building workshop for Member Federations in January 2025, which equipped Members with the essential knowledge and tools to develop and implement effective Sport for All programs within their communities.

The INTERACT+ Project, coordinated by TAFISA and supported by partners like the European Flying Disc Federation, is funded by the European Union’s ERASMUS+ Program. The Sport for All Label, under the project, recognizes organizations that demonstrate meaningful efforts to expand participation across age, ability, gender, background, and more across a number of specific criteria, including Policy, Strategy, Management, Facilities, and Programs. More about this milestone can be found in the official announcement by TAFISA and on the INTERACT+ website.

“Receiving the INTERACT+ Diamond Sport for All Certification Level is a true honor for WFDF. This recognition underscores our unwavering commitment to inclusivity, community engagement, and the global development of flying disc sports,” said WFDF President Robert “Nob” Rauch. “We are dedicated to expanding access to our sports across all continents, fostering grassroots participation and promoting the spirit of the game that defines our community. This milestone propels us forward in our mission to make flying disc sports accessible and enjoyable for all.”

This recognition not only honors WFDF’s efforts but also serves as a catalyst for broader impact within Flying Disc Sports through Members and the wider sports movement, showing how organizations and federations can integrate the principles of Sport for All into their daily operations and long-term strategies.

WFDF looks forward to leveraging this achievement to further enhance activities and programs, and promote the benefits of Flying Disc Sports to a broader audience.
