The World Flying Disc Federation (WFDF) reminds all National Teams made up of mixed-gender pairs (2 players) who qualified during the National Qualification Round 1 to take part in Round 2 of the WFDF Virtual Sport World Team Disc Golf Championships this week.
WFDF President Mr Robert “Nob” Rauch commented “We were thrilled to see more than 2,200 players from 19 countries take part in Round 1. As only the second (VSWTDGC), we are looking to get this established as a regular event.”
We are now officially in Round 2, which is being held from 9–17 June, but it’s not too late for participants from Round 1 to submit their scores if they haven’t already done so. In particular, we are encouraging all female players from Round 1 to report their results, as we are currently short on female participants needed to form eligible teams in more countries. Final team selections for Round 2 depend on scores submitted in Round 1, so please make sure your results are reported as soon as possible.
The top female (1) and top male (1) players from each country’s Round 1 submissions will be combined to form their National Representative Team and compete in this week’s Round 2 World Championships Qualifier.
Each qualifying player will aim to log their best round scores during Round 2, with team combinations calculated at the end of the week. The top eight (8) teams will advance to the Championship Finals.
Female participants from Round 1 are encouraged to submit their scores through 14 June to support national team formation. All Round 2 qualifiers are reminded to complete and log their rounds by the 17 June deadline.
