WFDF President Robert “Nob” Rauch to Speak at IF Forum 2025 “The New Global Reality in Sport” Hosted by SportAccord

WFDF President Robert “Nob” Rauch will speak at the International Federation (IF) Forum 2025. The annual event, set to take place from October 27th to 29th, is hosted by SportAccord at the landmark Olympic Museum in Lausanne, Switzerland. The meeting, under the motto “The New Global Reality in Sport: IFs in a world that refuses to stand still,” will address the main issues of governance, sustainability, and innovation that confront global sport.

Over its three days, the event will bring together over 400 leaders from more than 120 International Federations. Keynote addresses will be delivered on Monday, October 27th, followed by panel discussions and interactive sessions on Tuesday, 28th and Wednesday, 29th. Prof. Dr. Uğur Erdener, President of SportAccord, commented: “The IF Forum represents a critical moment for International Federation leaders to come together and address shared challenges at a time of unprecedented change.

Robert “Nob” Rauch will join an expert panel on one of the top three key topics of this 2025 IF Forum edition, titled “Thanks to our sponsors: Commercialisation, Monetisation, and Leadership in the Age of Fragmentation.” The panel will be held on Tuesday, the 28th of October at 10:10 CET, and includes Max Cobb, Secretary General of the International Biathlon Union, Petra Sörling, President of the International Table Tennis Federation, and François Vergnol, Executive Director, Commercial, Marketing, and Communications Department at the Fédération Équestre Internationale, to be moderated by journalist David Eades. The session will explore how International Federations are adapting their commercial and communication strategies to stay relevant and connected in a changing global environment, with a focus on digital engagement, storytelling, and community-driven value.

The IF Forum 2025 will serve as a vital platform for dialogue and exchange among International Federation leaders, and the insights and momentum generated will lay important groundwork for the SportAccord Convention 2026 in Baku, Azerbaijan. WFDF’s presence reflects its commitment to working together with other International Federations to shape a bright and sustainable future for sport.
