WFDF 2025 Pan American Ultimate Championships Begins in Beautiful Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

The World Flying Disc Federation (WFDF), the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) Cut Camp and the Pan American Flying Disc Federation (PAFDF) are thrilled to announce the start of WFDF 2025 Pan American Ultimate Championships (PAUC) on Monday, 1st December 2025 in the beach resort community of  Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

This six-day Pan American event welcomed 59 teams from 10 countries, spread across 5 divisions, bringing together almost 1,200 participants. The competition will run through Saturday, the 6th of December, culminating in the finals and medal ceremonies. Divisions of play will include Mixed, Women’s, Open, Master Mixed and Master Open.


“We are excited to see such a gathering of Ultimate talent from all over the Americas coming to compete at the highest level here in the Dominican Republic,” said WFDF President Robert ‘Nob’ Rauch. “This is a great way to cap off a very full 2025 event calendar for WFDF. and we wish all players and teams competitive success and an enjoyable tournament over the next six days both on and off the field. We also want to extend our sincerest thanks to the Tournament Organizing Committee, led by Tournament Directors Juan Acosta and Sophia Paredes, and CUT Camp, and acknowledge the support provided by Cap Cana Sports City. Everyone has worked tirelessly to ensure this event embodies a ‘sports paradise.’ ”

PAUC Tournament Director Juan Acosta commented, “We are excited to announce the return of PAUC to the Dominican Republic. Following 2023, we’ve been fortunate to witness significant growth of the sport of Ultimate within the community. We are eager to further support this progress by hosting another major WFDF event.”

The opening game on this first day of competition set the tone for an unforgettable week ahead. In a women’s division matchup, Revolution (COL), the tournament’s No. 2 seed, secured a hard-fought 15-10 win over 8th-seeded Sage (CAN).

 

As the competition kicks off in Punta Cana, teams bring with them more than just a drive to win, they embody the very best of what Ultimate represents. Through sportsmanship, teamwork, and cross-border connection, the spirit of the game comes to life on and off the field. This week is a celebration of excellence, energy, and community, and we can’t wait to experience it all together.
