The World Flying Disc Federation (WFDF) and the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC) are pleased to announce the strengthening of their strategic partnership, marking a new milestone in the global promotion and digital visibility of flying disc sports.
As part of this enhanced collaboration, WFDF will now benefit from a dedicated section within the ANOC.tv OTT platform, showcasing the very best of flying disc, including elite competitions, athlete stories, highlights, and exclusive content aimed at engaging National Olympic Committees (NOCs), athletes, and fans worldwide.
This development follows the significant success of flying disc content during and after The World Games Chengdu 2025, where the sport generated strong engagement both on the ANOC.tv platform and across ANOC’s digital and social media channels. The positive audience response demonstrated the growing global appetite for dynamic, youth-oriented, and urban sports content aligned with the Olympic Movement’s digital transformation objectives.
The strengthened partnership will also extend to major ANOC events. Building on its successful engagement at the ANOC General Assembly Cascais 2024, WFDF will continue its institutional presence and outreach efforts with an exhibition booth in the Networking Area at the ANOC General Assembly Hong Kong 2026, providing NOCs and stakeholders with direct access to the federation’s programs, development initiatives, and event portfolio.
WFDF President Robert “Nob” Rauch highlighted the strategic importance of the agreement:
“This strengthened partnership with ANOC represents a major step forward for the global growth of flying disc. The creation of a dedicated presence on ANOC.tv allows us to showcase the excitement, inclusivity, and universality of our sport to National Olympic Committees and fans around the world. Following the momentum generated at The World Games Chengdu 2025, we are excited to further engage with the Olympic community at ANOC events, including Hong Kong 2026.”
ANOC Secretary General Gunilla Lindberg also welcomed the expanded collaboration:
“We are delighted to strengthen our partnership with the World Flying Disc Federation. The strong digital performance of flying disc content following The World Games Chengdu 2025 clearly demonstrated the sport’s global appeal and its ability to connect with younger audiences. By integrating a dedicated WFDF section on ANOC.tv, we are reinforcing our commitment to digital innovation, sport diversity, and increased visibility for International Federations across the Olympic ecosystem.”
Through this collaboration, ANOC and WFDF aim to enhance digital storytelling, increase discoverability of flying disc disciplines such as Ultimate, Disc Golf, and Beach Ultimate, and support the broader objective of expanding the reach of innovative and youth-driven sports within the Olympic Movement.
The dedicated WFDF hub on ANOC.tv will serve as a central destination for curated content, event highlights, and educational features, contributing to ANOC’s ongoing mission to empower NOCs through accessible, high-quality digital content and to promote the diversity of global sport.
