The World Flying Disc Federation (WFDF) is pleased to announce that the WFDF 2027 Pan American Ultimate Club Championships (PAUCC 2027) will be hosted in San José, Costa Rica from 8–13 November 2027 at the Los Reyes Polo Club, featuring 15 grass fields at a single venue location.
The event will be delivered by local organisers Breaking Borders and Arsake Soluciones de Costa Rica (Ki Sports), bringing together top Ultimate club teams from across the Pan American region for six days of international competition.
The Pan American Ultimate Club Championships represent the premier club competition for Ultimate teams in the Americas, showcasing elite club programs from North, Central and South America and the Caribbean. The event is open exclusively to club teams and does not include national team participation.
A formal Information Bulletin and Official Invitation To Register for the event will be distributed to eligible National Federations in June 2026.
National Federations in good standing within the WFDF Pan American region will be invited to apply for team bids. Interested club teams should contact their respective National Federation directly regarding qualification pathways and bid allocation processes.
“It has been truly satisfying to see the development of our Continental Ultimate Championships since we debuted them back in 2011,” stated WFDF President Robert “Nob” Rauch. “We expect the competition to be fierce and the spirit to be high, and we encourage all clubs in the Americas to speak to your national federations about getting a bid to cap off the 2027 season in beautiful Costa Rica.”
Rodrigo Araya Alvarado and Chasen Brokaw, representing the PAUCC 2027 Local Organising Committee, said:
“The road to PAUCC 2027 started in 2016 with a simple five team youth tournament on the outfields of the baseball fields of Parque La Sabana, under the shadow of the national soccer stadium. Now, after 10 years of relationship building and hosting bigger and more important events in Costa Rica — CACUC 2024, PAYUC 2025 and CACUC 2026 — we are bringing the region’s biggest event to one of the most beautiful and diverse countries on the planet.
We are so grateful for the opportunity to bring this amazing event to Central America.
The Central American region, and specifically Costa Rica, is a flying disc community in development. We have seen significant growth and development over the last two to three years due to the impact and success of the previously mentioned events.
We hope to leverage PAUCC 2027 to continue growing and impacting our community for the better.
Thank you for trusting us with this opportunity. We look forward to serving you and creating an unforgettable experience at PAUCC 2027.”
Notes from PAFDF
PAUC started in Medellin, Colombia in 2011. In November 2027 Costa Rica will become the 7th country to host this event. Learning from past experiences, events, and taking into consideration the current needs in our region, we expect the LOC to make this version the best one yet. These events are important for the growth and development of the NFs in our region, especially those NFs in development. The PAFDF Board of Directors looks forward to helping our members prepare for this event over the next 18 months.
