The World Flying Disc Federation is pleased to announce the official list of candidates for the upcoming WFDF Athletes’ Commission elections. These elections will take place across three major World Championship events in 2026, representing the diverse disciplines within the flying disc community.

The Athletes’ Commission serves as a vital bridge between the international governing body and the athletes themselves, offering advice and feedback on issues ranging from health and safety to the evolution of the Spirit of the Game.

2026 Athletes’ Commission Candidates

The Elections Commission has vetted the following candidates for the open positions. Candidates are listed by discipline in alphabetical order by family name.

Ultimate (3 Positions Available)

• Sevval Cihankaya (TUR)
• Lau Ho Ching Stephanie (HKG)
• Benjamin Swanson (NZL)
• Caroline Tisson (GER)

Disc Golf (2 Positions Available)

• Dustin Ciarla (HKG)
• Chris Hartmann (CAN)

Other Disciplines – Freestyle, Guts and Overall (1 Position Available)

• Maria Fernanda Meza Bonilla (COL)

Voting and Electorate Eligibility

Elections will be held during the following 2026 Championships. Eligible voters include all accredited athletes participating in their respective World Championships:

• Other Disciplines: July 30th – August 2nd at the WFDF-FPA World Freestyle Flying Disc Championships.
• Ultimate: August 15th – 22nd at the WFDF World Ultimate Club Championships.
• Disc Golf: September 8th – 12th at the WFDF World Team Disc Golf Championships.

Voting Instructions

The election will be conducted via a digital ballot using a single transferable voting (ranked choice) methodology.

1. Email Notification: Eligible voters will receive an email from nomcom@wfdf.sport containing a unique voting code and a secure link.
2. Accessing the Ballot: Click the link and enter the unique code to validate your identity.
3. Selection: Rank your preferred candidates in order of preference.
4. Submission: Review your choices and click ‘Submit’ to finalize your vote.
