The World Flying Disc Federation (WFDF), in partnership with UK Ultimate, the Local Organising Committee (LOC), is pleased to announce the start of the WFDF 2026 World Masters Ultimate Club Championships (WMUCC), taking place in Nottingham, United Kingdom, from Sunday 28 June to Saturday 4 July 2026.

This seven-day world championship event will welcome 150 teams from 27 countries across nine divisions, bringing together more than 4,400 participants to celebrate Masters Ultimate, competition, friendship, and the Spirit of the Game. The competition will run through Saturday, 4 July, culminating in the finals and medal ceremonies.

The championship will feature Women’s, Open and Mixed competition across the Masters, Grand Masters and Great Grand Masters divisions, with athletes from around the world coming together to compete at one of the largest Flying Disc events ever staged. The minimum age limit for athletes playing in the masters’ divisions of WFDF championships is 30 for the women’s division and 33 for the open division, with the minimum age for grandmasters at 37 for women’s and 40 for open division athletes. Great Grand Master divisions’ ages start at 45 and 48, respectively.

Hosted at the University of Nottingham’s Highfields and Riverside Sports Complex, WMUCC 2026 returns to a venue that previously hosted the WFDF 2023 World Under-24 Ultimate Championships and has become a familiar destination for major Ultimate events in the United Kingdom.

The Opening Ceremony brought together the largest gathering of Ultimate players ever assembled, marking the official start of the WFDF 2026 World Masters Ultimate Club Championships.

Beyond the competition, WMUCC 2026 offers participants opportunities to connect throughout the championship week. Player tents will be available at both competition venues, with a large bar and beer garden at Highfields, alongside food, drinks and fresh coffee available throughout the day. Participants will also have access to four beach volleyball courts and a variety of garden games between matches.

The official WMUCC Party will take place on Friday, 3 July in the Tournament Village following the Grand Master Mixed Final, featuring live music and DJs Bradley James and Tom “The Voice of Ultimate” Styles. Participants are also encouraged to complete jersey and merchandise trading after they have finished competing, with Finals Day at Highfields providing the ideal opportunity.

WMUCC 2026 is part of WFDF’s Summer of Flying Disc, a series of five major World Championship events taking place across Europe during 2026. Following the conclusion of the championships in Nottingham, the next event will be the WFDF 2026 World Junior Ultimate Championships (WJUC), taking place in Logroño, Spain, from 11–18 July 2026.
