The World Flying Disc Federation (WFDF) and World Youth Clubs (WYC) are proud to announce a partnership designed to improve the well-being, empowerment, and participation of children and young people across the globe.

This collaboration brings WFDF’s expertise as the international governing body for disciplines like Ultimate and Disc Golf to WYC’s expansive network of youth clubs. Through this partnership, WYC affiliates gain access to turnkey curricula and resources designed to introduce basic skills and games to youth.

WFDF will support these initiatives by providing access to educational courses via the WFDF Academy, supplying technical experts for co-branded virtual webinars, and exploring opportunities for WYC affiliated clubs to access equipment and materials needed to run Flying Disc Sports activities.

A critical element of this partnership is the mutual benefit it provides to WFDF’s network of 127 Member National Federations. The partnership connects local youth clubs with national federations, opening doors for mentorship, advanced coaching, and collaboration opportunities.

A Proven Model: A Case Study of a Successful Program in  Mexico

The impact of integrating Flying Disc Sports into WYC programming is already visible in Mexico. Initiated in 2025, a collaboration between the organization “JUF Activando Valores” and the Boys & Girls Club of the State of Mexico successfully established the sport as a tool for holistic development.

The program rapidly demonstrated its viability, reaching over 150 children through weekly training sessions. This momentum carried into a summer camp that engaged over 80 participants in active learning and dynamic coexistence. As of early 2026, the initiative has evolved into a structured sports program with two assigned coaches, reporting substantial improvements in teamwork, communication and participant retention.

Beyond the field, the collaboration strengthened the club’s institutional structure. Club staff received strategic training from JUF on safeguarding, body confidence in sports, and “Spirit of the Game”. The program generated significant national interest when it was showcased to visitors from other clubs at the National Convention of the Girls’ & Boys’ Clubs of Mexico in November 2025, putting Flying Disc Sports on the radar for broader national integration.
