The fourth day of competition at the WFDF 2026 World Ultimate Club Championships (WUCC 2026) brought major developments in Limerick, with the Women’s Division taking center stage as the field was reduced to the final 16 teams still competing for the World Championship title.

The morning began with crucial Women’s matchups determining which teams would progress directly into the Round of 16. Japan’s TOKYO MAVERICKS defeated Colombia’s Macana 15–12, while Belgium’s Mooncup earned a 15–12 victory over Australia’s Ellipsis, sending both winning teams directly through and leaving Macana and Ellipsis facing another game to keep their championship campaigns alive. 

Those crossover games produced some of the biggest developments of the championship so far. Australia’s Ellipsis responded with a 15–10 victory over Germany’s jinX Midnight, while Italy’s BFD Shout defeated defending World Champions Revolution of Colombia 15–8, moving the Colombian side out of World Championship contention. France’s JAKA also secured its place in the top 16 with a 15–11 victory over Canada’s Iris, despite the Canadian side recovering after falling 6–0 behind. 

Open and Mixed pool play continued alongside the Women’s crossovers. USA’s PoNY defeated France’s Iznogood 15–10 after the teams had been level at 7–7, while Italy’s Cotarica Grandes edged Catchup from Austria 15–13. In Mixed, Ireland’s PELT recorded an important 15–9 victory over Finland’s Helsinki Ultimate, while several leading teams continued to secure their positions ahead of bracket play. 

Later in the Open Division, Great Britain’s Clapham defeated Belgium’s Gentle 15–11, while Switzerland’s Freespeed earned a 15–12 victory over Japan’s Nomadic Tribe. The final qualification picture was decided dramatically as France’s Tchac defeated Blue Devils 15–14 on a universe-point break, a result that kept Nomadic Tribe in championship contention while sending Blue Devils into the lower bracket.

Looking Ahead to Day 5

With the championship moving into bracket play, the road to the WUCC 2026 titles is becoming increasingly narrow.

The Women’s Round of 16 features a particularly compelling bracket, with France’s JAKA facing USA’s Fury, USA’s Scandal taking on Australia’s Ellipsis, and USA’s Brute Squad meeting Colombia’s Macana among the matchups to watch. With the US teams positioned on the same side of the bracket, the route towards the medal rounds promises plenty of high-level matchups. 

The Mixed Division also moves into elimination play, with Australia’s Manly Mosh vs Estonia’s Tartu Turbulence at 09:00 highlighted as one of the early games to watch as teams begin the knockout stage.
