Norway and Finland will contest the Open Division Gold Medal match at the WFDF World Team Disc Golf Championships 2026 after a dramatic evening of semifinal action in Vilnius.
Norway produced an impressive performance against Great Britain, taking control through the Singles matches before completing the victory to secure their place in Saturday’s Final.
The second semifinal between Finland and Estonia delivered considerably more drama. With the teams locked together after regulation play, the contest went to a sudden-death playoff, where Finland prevailed to secure their place in the Gold Medal match.
The result creates an all-Nordic Final between Norway and Finland, while Great Britain and Estonia will meet for Bronze.
The medal matches begin at 14:00 local time on Saturday 12 September, bringing the 2026 World Team Disc Golf Championships to their conclusion.
The Championships are being delivered by the World Flying Disc Federation (WFDF) in collaboration with the Professional Disc Golf Association (PDGA), with teams competing in the distinctive match-play team format combining Singles and Doubles competition.
