Norway have won the Open Division gold medal at the WFDF 2026 World Team Disc Golf Championships (WTDGC), defeating Finland in an all-Nordic Final in Vilnius, Lithuania.

The Final was closely contested through its opening stages, with little separating the teams across the four Singles and Doubles matches, before Norway gradually began to establish advantages as the contest progressed.

Anniken Kristiansen Steen secured Norway’s first completed win, defeating Emilia Kallio by five holes in Singles 2, before the Doubles 1 pairing of Øyvind Jarnes and Ida Emilie Nesse added a second victory.

Henrik Syvertsen Haaland then completed a two-hole win over Nestori Tuhkanen in Singles 1, while Alexander Standal Borgersrud and Knut Valen Håland held a one-hole advantage in Doubles 2 to complete a strong victory and secure the world title.

Finland will take home Silver after an impressive championship which included a dramatic sudden-death victory over Estonia in Friday evening’s semifinal.

Earlier, Estonia secured the Bronze Medal with a 6–2 victory over Great Britain. Maico Rimmel and Keiti Tätte won their Singles matches, while Roland Kõur and Björn Marrandi secured Estonia’s other victory in Doubles 2. Great Britain’s Benjamin Holding and Leigh Williams won Doubles 1.

The results brought the Open Division at the 2026 Championships to a close, with Norway taking Gold, Finland Silver and Estonia Bronze.
