WFDF launches new official website

The World Flying Disc Federation (“WFDF”) is pleased to announce that it has launched today a new official website and domain name “wfdf.sport.“ The web site revamp was undertaken to upgrade the underlying site architecture, from the last overhaul in late 2011, to current standards, including native mobile accessibility. WFDF signed an agreement in 2018 to use the dot sport internet domain, which is managed by the Global Association of International Sports Federations (GAISF) for ICANN, as use of the dot sport domain shows we are a recognized member of the international sports community.

The WFDF Women in Sport Commission held its first ever regional workshop at the Asian-Oceanic Ultimate and Guts Championship (AOUGC 2019) in Shanghai on July 25. The event was well attended with 50 attendees from 13 regional countries, with men making up a third of the group. Please read the full Press release here.

The Congress of the World Flying Disc Federation (WFDF) has approved of an additional Bylaws revision after concluding the vote by electronic means. The unanimous decision approves two additional modifications of the revised WFDF Bylaws that were approved by Congress during their annual meeting on 13 July 2018. 02 May 2011 A new world guts catch record was reported by Dave (Nez) Nesbitt, current PDGA Board President and former USGPA and WFDF board member, thrown by Garrett “Double G” Gurthie at 124 km/hr (77 mph).
