The World Flying Disc Federation (“WFDF”) is pleased to announce that it has launched today a new official website and domain name “wfdf.sport.“ The web site revamp was undertaken to upgrade the underlying site architecture, from the last overhaul in late 2011, to current standards, including native mobile accessibility. WFDF signed an agreement in 2018 to use the dot sport internet domain, which is managed by the Global Association of International Sports Federations (GAISF) for ICANN, as use of the dot sport domain shows we are a recognized member of the international sports community.

WFDF joins UNAOC One Humanity Campaign

WFDF 2019 World Team Disc Golf Championships open in Estonia The World Flying Disc Federation (WFDF) is pleased to announce that the WFDF 2019 World Team Disc Golf Championships (WTDGC) opened today.  This third edition of the team disc golf championships is being held at Mäetaguse Disc Golf Park in Alutaguse, Estonia, with a participation of 17 countries over four days of competition. The nations represented are Australia, Austria, Canada, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Latvia, Lithuania, New Zealand, Russia, Slovakia, Spain and the United States. The WTDGC event will feature four divisions (Open, Women’s, Master’s and Junior) with teams consisting of a minimum of 6 players with a team having the option to bring up to 12 players. USA Claims Gold in both the Open and Women’s Divisions at the 2019 WFDF World Overall Flying Disc Championships After six days of competition in Richmond, Virginia, the 2019 WFDF World Overall Flying Disc Championships concluded with the crowning of a new champion in the Open division, and a repeat champion in the Women’s division. The USA finished atop the medal count with 38 medals (19 gold, 11 silver, and 11 bronze), while Chinese Taipei finished second with 27 (6 gold, 11 silver, and 10 bronze), and Sweden finished third with 19 (9 gold, 4 silver, and 6 bronze). The WFDF 2019 Asia Oceanic Ultimate & Guts Championships start in Shanghai he first games of the WFDF 2019 Asia Oceanic Ultimate and Guts Championships (AOUGC) started in Shanghai on Tuesday, 23 July 2019. Running through Saturday 27 July, this five day event is being held at Shanghai Community Sports Club in Shanghai Gaohang Sunland, People’s Republic of China. WFDF announces third edition of Global Disc Sports Community Survey 2019 The World Flying Disc Federation (WFDF) is pleased to announce that it has published the third edition of the Global Disc Sports Community survey. The first ever edition was launched in February 2014 and the survey was designed to gather input from athletes, coaches, administrators, tournament directors and anyone else involved with disc sports from around the globe, with the second edition executed in 2016.
