As follow-up to a successful WFDF Asia-Oceanic regional meeting held at the World Ultimate Club Championships in Perth, WFDF is sending out this request for proposals to host the First WFDF Asia Pacific Ultimate Championships (APUC) to be held in the second half of 2007.
WFDF would like to announce it’s newly appointed Executive Director, Anne-Marie Carey. She will be taking on the part time position (approximately 20 hours per week) which involves administrative/organizational functions, communications and event management roles with WFDF.
Elections are coming up shortly and the Nominating Committee is still accepting applications by candidates.
The agenda and delegate materials for the WFDF Congress 2006 are now available. A number of reports have been added to the materials previously published.
WFDF will be hosting an Asia Region Caucus during the upcoming World Ultimate Club Championship in Perth to bring together organizers from the Asian region. The meeting is scheduled for Saturday the 11th of November, at 20:00 at a place to be announced shortly.
A new set of rules for Disc Golf proposed by the WFDF Disc Golf committee were ratified by the WFDF Board of Directors on October 1st.
WFDF is seeking a part-time Executive Director. A position description is attached.
The World Flying Disc Federation announced today that Vancouver, Canada has been selected to host the WFDF World Ultimate and Guts Championships on August 2-9, 2008. More than one hundred teams from over 30 nations will gather to compete for the world title in at least six divisions of play..
Congratulations to these candidates, who have been elected and agreed to serve as WFDF Directors for the 2006-2007 term: Treasurer – Robert “Nob” Rauch; Individual Events Chair – Paul Francz; At Large – Dan Engstrom, Dave Nesbitt, Rue Veitl, Todd Demetriades. It was an excellent turnout with 100% of eligible members casting ballots; 90% of those on time and counted.
