As part of WFDF’s mission to “support and promote the inclusive growth and development of all Flying Disc Sports and Spirit of the Game” and the Strategic Plan, its objectives and priorities, WFDF is committed to supporting the development of the sport worldwide.

Through collaboration with and direct support of Continental Assocations, Member National Federations and other organizations, WFDF offers a balanced sport development program, aiding the sport's growth from the grassroots to the high-performance level.

Focus includes:

• Increasing participation in the sport worldwide
• Ensuring participants at all levels consistently have a positive and safe experience
• Empowering Member National Federations to develop sustainable participant pathways and programs
• Developing competent and skilled coaches and leaders who can support the sport and its participants
• Creating and maintaining relationships within the sports movement to advance the sport
• Ensuring high quality educational opportunities are available and accessible across all stakeholder groups
