The Philippines Ultimate Association (PUA) and the Singapore Ultimate Players Association (SUPA) have upgraded their membership from Provisional Members to full Regular Members. Their membership applications were approved by a unanimous vote at the 2007 WFDF Congress on July 8th in Ithaca, NY.

Kaohsiung City, Taiwan set to host the WFDF Asia-Oceanic Ultimate Championships in 2007

The WFDF Board of Directors is pleased to announce the approval of the bid submitted by Michael Hu on behalf of the Chinese Taipei Flying Disc Association to host the first WFDF Asia-Oceanic Ultimate Championships. The event will be hosted in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan from December 7-9, 2007 and will be a mixed division competition. Further information will be forwarded to countries within the Asia-Oceanic region.

The new WFDF Rules of Ultimate (Version 2007) is finally completed and approved! It will be effective on April 1, 2007 for all WFDF sanctioned tournaments. We would like to ask all our members to implement these rules as quickly as possible.

Bill Wright Recognized for Two Decades of Contributions to WFDF

Bill Wright was presented with a token of appreciation for his substantial contributions to WFDF and all flying disc sports for over two decades. Bill served as WFDF President from 1994 to 2004. Prior to that, he chaired both the WFDF Freestyle Committee and the Freestyle Players Association for nine years. Even after stepping down from his formal leadership role, he continued to selflessly provide administrative assistance to WFDF through early 2006.

Galactic MTA Record Set on Space Shuttle Discovery

December 15, 2006 was a historic day for space exploration and for disc players everywhere.
