Dr. Dominique Fontenette blends medical and athletic expertise to advance athlete health and uphold sport integrity. She serves on the World Flying Disc Federation (WFDF) Anti-Doping Committee and the International World Games Association (IWGA) Medical Committee, where she co-chaired the latter in 2025 and chairs the Therapeutic Use Exemption Committee. A board-certified emergency physician with over 18 years of experience, she practices and co-owns Hospitality Health ER in Texas. She earned her MD from Tufts University School of Medicine after completing her undergraduate studies at Stanford University, where she discovered ultimate in 1993. She also completed an ultrasound fellowship at Oregon Health & Science University.

An accomplished athlete, Dr. Fontenette won four U.S. National and seven WFDF World Championships. She represented the U.S. National Team six times, won the Callahan Award, and was inducted into the Ultimate Hall of Fame. She earned gold and silver medals at the World Games, helped debut the sport in 2001, and was a 2018 IWGA Athlete of the Year finalist.
