Florian started playing Ultimate in 1988 in Berlin, and has played and organized Ultimate in Germany and the US since then in various roles. He is too old to remember when exactly he became a member of the rules committee, but he has been serving on both the WFDF and the UPA/USAU committees for a long time. He is always an advocate for the simplest rule to make efficient self officiating possible over a more complicated rule, even if the outcome feels not quite as fair.
