Jörn Verleger is an experienced sports executive with more than two decades of involvement in international sport governance, major events, and anti-doping structures. Since 2012, he has served as CEO of Grünwalder Freizeitpark GmbH, a multi-sport facility near Munich, following earlier roles with the City of Dresden, the German Sports Youth, the German Sports Confederation (DSB), and the Leipzig 2012 Olympic Games Bid Committee.

Jörn has contributed to numerous major international events, including the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2011, the FIDE Chess Olympiad 2008, and several ITTF Table Tennis World Championships. He has held senior leadership positions within the International Fistball Association (IFA), serving as Secretary General (2015–2019), President (2019–2025), and, since September 2025, Executive Director with responsibility for international affairs, safe sport, anti-doping, and sustainability.

He currently serves as Chair of the Anti-Doping Panel of the International World Games Association (IWGA) and is a member of the Para Sport Commission of the World Flying Disc Federation (WFDF). Jörn holds a Master’s degree in Sports Management and completed his legal education with the Second State Exam at the University of Erlangen–Nuremberg (Germany).
