José Amoroso (he/him) Professor at the Polytechnic University of Leiria. Sub-Coordinator of the Quality Of Life Research Center. He also currently serves as the PE expert at the International School Sport Federation, a non-profit dedicated to advancing new ideas in PE for schools in the world.

José Amoroso founded Leiria Flying Objects in 2012, when he was playing and coaching the team. In 2017 he became president of the Portuguese Ultimate and Disc Sports Association. Since 2016 he has been developing the Ultimate and Disc Sports in Schools project. This project continues to grow to other countries. Since 2019, José Amoroso has been working to highlight Ultimate and disc sports at an academic and scientific level.

José Amoroso enjoys Beach Ultimate and DDC, Padel and Beach Volleyball recreationally.

José Amoroso received his PhD degree from Lúsofona University in PE and Sports.
