Laura began playing Ultimate in 2008 and joined the WFDF Ultimate Rules Subcommittee in 2018. She became involved because of her desire to have a Spanish-speaking member on the committee to help identify language differences and translation interpretations. As a player, she has been involved with the Colombian national teams since 2010 and the USA Ultimate club scene with Boston Brute Squad. This experience has given her different perspectives on the rules themselves, as well as the language and cultural challenges of their interpretation.
