WFDF has revised the bid document and based on the new version is looking for formal applications to host the following events: Asia Oceania Pacific Regional Event (2011), Pan American Regional Event (2011), WUGC 2012 and WJUC 2012. WFDF appoints Volker Bernardi of Germany as Executive Director
The World Flying Disc Federation has announced the appointment of Volker Bernardi from Germany as its new Executive Director. Mr. Bernardi, who will serve as the first full-time Executive Director of WFDF, has assumed his duties effective immediately. Kevin “Skippy” Givens, former part-time Executive Director, will stay on as Administrative Consultant through March 31, 2011 to assist in the transition. Ultimate Committee Chair Search is Commenced
WFDF has commenced a search for the Ultimate Committee Chair position through the remainder of the term ending December 2011, to replace Rudiger Veitl who resigned January 6, 2011. Interested candidates should submit their applications to Skippy Givens, Executive Director no later than Monday January 24, 2011. During this search period, current Ultimate Events Committee member Simon Hill of UK Ultimate will serve as interim chair.

Intake periods (February 1 or August 1) for new member applications established
Based on a proposal submitted by Ultimate Canada, the WFDF Board of Directors has established two intake periods for national associations/organizations seeking to become members of WFDF. As a result, all applications for membership must be submitted by either February 1 or August 1 each year, to be followed by a review of the Board (no less than 7 days) and vote by Congress (30 days).
