The World Flying Disc Federation is pleased to announce that the inaugural WFDF 2015 Asia Oceanic Guts Club Championships (AOGCC) will be hosted in the city of New Taipei City, Chinese Taipei. The event will be held on October 17-18, 2015 at the facilities at the “Ban Chiao Multiple Stadium” located in New Taipei City, with the finals being held on the main field at this venue on Sunday, October 18, 2015. The successful bid came from the Chinese Taipei Flying Disc Association (CTFDA) acting as Tournament Organizing Committee under the leadership of Michael HU. It is expected that a minimum number of 10 teams will participate in the Open and Women’s divisions.

"This is going to be the first ever event of such kind held by WFDF and the AOGCC 2015 in Chinese Taipei is a great addition to the WFDF event portfolio,” stated WFDF President Robert "Nob" Rauch. “We had great experience with the Organizers when they hosted the AOUC 2011 in Kaohsiung and we trust that the 2015 AOGCC will be an event of equal quality. WFDF is pleased to find an opportunity to highlight some of our other disciplines and to foster continental level competition, so the AOGCC is a perfect match with these two WFDF key priorities”, added Rauch.

“Chinese Taipei Flying Disc Association is most appreciative of the chance to host this continental event which is expected to increase the population of Guts players,” commented Tournament Director Michael Hu. “It is a great honor for us to be the first AOGCC hosting country. Many view Guts as a terrible sport and are hardly attracted by it, but we think that Guts is a sport that inspires teamwork, spirit, courage, and players’ throwing explosiveness. The players are true warriors. We welcome Guts players from all over the world to participate in this challenging sport in New Taipei City, and we look forward to seeing more new faces in this tournament.”
